Re-piping Water Systems
The first step in re-piping is to spread out tarps to cover your floors and other items. Then we cut small openings in your walls. We repair our own drywall so we take care to remove it carefully. Unlike with copper re-piping, it is not necessary to remove a great deal of drywall. In most cases we open the top of the wall and the bottom and are able to fish the PEX though the wall. We use shop vacuums with HEPA filters to dramatically cut down on the dust in your home. Keeping your home clean is very important to us.
Next we run new Uponor PEX piping though your attic and walls, strapping the pipe as we go. This keeps it secure and stable. We then shut off your water and connect your showers, faucets and hose bibs. In most cases water will be on that same day!
The final step is repairing your walls so they are paint ready. We pride ourselves on wall repair and clean up. Then it's up to you to enjoy your new plumbing!
PEX has no electrolysis, corrosion or mineral buildup. This means the inside of the tubing remains free from deposits which can degrade pressure and flow rates over time.
The system operates quietly without water hammer and its damaging effects.
Homeowners enjoy numerous benefits of a PEX plumbing system in their home. Fewer fittings mean less potential for leaks. No electrolysis, corrosion or mineral buildup, means the inside of the tubing remains free from deposits which can degrade pressure and flow rates over time. PEX reduces the possibility of a freeze related tubing break and the system operates quietly without water hammer and its damaging effects.
Uponor PEX offers the added advantage of a 25 year warranty designed to offer complete protection for the home owner. It not only covers replacement of the tubing, it also covers labor and repair or replacement costs of personal property damaged by the unlikely failure of some part of the system
